August 2003

Lee Johnson, CCn'C recording artist, signs with Warner Bros., Warner Vision, Germany. Sandfloor Cathedral, symphony no. 5 will be released in Feb. 2004 as 5.1 DVD Video and a high resolution DVD Audio discs. These two products will have global distribution minus the Canadian and U.S. markets - the North American release date is not known at this time.

Johnson is Convocation speaker for Columbus State University's Schwob School of Music marking the beginning exercises of the 2003-2004 academic year.

July 2003

Lee Johnson's one act comic opera Wordsmith, featuring tenor Jim Blanton, the Goliard Ensemble of New York, and Lee as lead baritone, airs twice on Georgia Public Radio. Interviews with the Composer and the Goliard Ensemble were also part of the broadcast.

June 2003

Lee will premiere "U Giophel Knoys", a new cantata for mixed voices, soloists, narrator, and pre-recorded media at the First Baptist Church of Shawmut, AL.

May 2003

The "Sandfloor Cathedral" DVD, featuring a stellar 5.1 surround mix and including stunning new Sea of Cortez footage by Donald Tipton, is complete and is currently in negotiations for manufacture and distribution.

Lee visits East Oregon University as composer in residence and while there provides a special "Sandfloor Cathedral" screening.

LaGrange College commissions Johnson to compose original oratorio. To be recorded in Prague during 2004, the oratorio is entitled "Childlike Civility" and was inspired by his 2002 visit to Bosnia and his work with the LaGrange College Community Servant Leadership efforts. The oratorio will premiere during the 175th Anniversary Year of Celebration at LaGrange College.
